a project for the exhibition "again & again" at kunsthalle wien projectspace

Over the periode of several weeks I placed a white cube on a specific spot in a viennese subway station. After the object was removed by the cleaning staff I replaced it by an identical form. As a documentation, I filmed their daily action of cleaning up my intervention with a hidden camera.

Between the sidewalls of an alley I fixed an artificial layer. The surface on the top was covered with aluminium foil, the bottom was black. Windy conditions in the street kept the object in motion in order to change its form constantly. According to the wind force, the way got blocked or was passable.
